Jennings Brewery was voted Brewery of the Year in Cumbria 2026 by the people who use them.
Jennings Brewery is a historic Cumbrian brewery founded in 1828 and now once again independently owned and brewing in Cockermouth. The brewery specialises in traditional Cumberland ales such as Sneck Lifter, Cocker Hoop and Cumberland Ale. Beer is brewed with Lake District water drawn from the on site well, linking the beers closely to their landscape. A taproom and brewery tours invite visitors to explore the site’s long brewing heritage.
