Ivy Cottage Baker was voted Bakery of the Year in Cumbria 2026 by the people who use them.
Award-winning microbakery run by self-taught baker Mike in the Upper Eden Valley, specialising in slow-fermented sourdough breads made with natural yeast. A multi award-winning baker, Mike uses only natural ingredients and makes everything to order for delivery or collection. The bakery also attends the monthly Farmers Market in Middleton in Teesdale. Everything is baked in small batches for freshness and quality, with a regularly changing range of seasonal loaves and specials. The business is proudly independent and grounded in traditional craft methods.
